A PERFUME MASTERCLASS

As a blogger, I’m lucky enough to be invited to lot’s of amazing events and I’ve got to say attending a perfume masterclass was definitely up there in the top.
As part of lights by TENA’s new Feel Fresh campaign, I was invited to the stunning Haymarket Hotel in central London to create my own signature scent.

I don’t know what I was really expecting from the day, but as I was travelling down from Manchester I was really excited for the day ahead. Creating my own perfume was something to look forward to, however I really didn’t anticipate how much work went into it though!

After a quick brunch and champagne, we were introduced to the new Feel Fresh or it’s Free campaign by lights by TENA. It’s not necessarily something we want to talk about but light bladder weakness is something that affects a lot of women.

Whether it’s a fragrant bunch of flowers, or a spritz of our favourite perfume, we all love feeling fresh and confident. But, for the one in three UK women* who experience light bladder weakness, it’s those unexpected leaks which leave us feeling less than our best.

Thankfully, lights by TENA has you covered with its new ‘Feel Fresh or it’s Free’ money back guarantee. Designed specifically for light bladder weakness, lights by TENA’s entire range features unique FeelFresh Technology™ that combines a quick-dry topsheet and innovative fluid distribution layers to effortlessly lock in moisture and odour and keep you feeling fresh all day long.

Next we were introduced to Emmanuelle Moeglin, founder of The Experimental Perfume Club who was going to run our perfume masterclass. Before we could even attempt to make our signature scent, we had to learn more about the fragrances we liked. I assumed I would like certain scents but when smelling them ‘blind’ you realise you like some very different fragrances. Not only did we have to decide on the scents we liked but we had to learn about how they ‘go together’ and what percentages of each ‘note’ we needed to use to create a beautiful, long lasting perfume.

I knew I wanted something quite deep, almost an old school glamour kind of scent. After the blind testing I soon realised the my favourites made a perfect combination for the type of fragrance I wanted.

I loved creating my perfume and the whole process that went into it. I think fragrance & scent is so important to us women. We want to smell fresh and beautiful and not have to worry about those little ooops moments and TENA have really put so much though into their product and campaign, and I was very happy to be invited to be a part of it.
