BEING BRAVE & TAKING CHANCES

Being brave & taking changes. I will have more confidence in myself & what I can achieve, this is the start of a new chapter

I‘ve got to admit this year so far has been pretty damn hard so far.

I’ve felt like I’ve been drowning in everyday life. Work has pushed me to the edge, fighting for support for Archie & his diagnosis for Autism, struggling on about four hours sleep a night for the past three years has really broken me. I just completely felt like giving up.

So I made a decision, I was going to take back control and start swimming instead of sinking.

I run my own business & have been working ridiculous hours as I’ve just been so busy. I work from home around the kids which in theory sounds amazing but in reality meant that I was working every spare hour I could just to get things done, sometime until gone midnight & I’m exhausted. I just can’t continue like this.

I can’t afford to stop working but I need to change the way I work, the hours I work, so this week I made a big decision. I’m being brave & taking chances and that means shifting my focus to blogging & freelance writing.

As my cake business has gotten busier I’ve been training my sister on cake decorating to take some of the pressure off & she’s been amazing. She is so naturally talented and has been doing so well that this week I decided to hand over 80% of the workload. Yes it’s a big pay cut for me but it gives me time to focus on my writing & working on generating a bigger income through my blog. I’ve got some amazing opportunities in the pipeline and need to give my all to make it a success.  I can’t keep spinning plates and expecting them not to come crashing down.

This week was the week I decided to get serious about blogging & having the confidence in my writing.

This week was the week I had the confidence in myself to submit a post to a BIG site.

This week was the week I got published on The Mighty! (Seriously, go have a read & share, share, share)

I’m so proud that I decided to take a chance and that it’s already paying off.

This week is the start of a new chapter.

I’m joining in with these lovely linkies
