If you’re anything like me & my teenager then you spend a lot of time looking for things, especially keys. I don’t even want to think about how many house keys the teenager has lost. He has even googled ‘where are my keys’, on that occasion it actually gave him the right answer of down the couch but it’s not always going to work like that! Now the Teenager has the Gigaset G-Tag firmly attached to his keys I’m hoping that having to go to the hassle of replacing his keys are over.
Using BlueTooth, the Gigaset G-Tag links with your phone, either iPhone or Android, and tracks the location of the keyring and saves them in a GPS enabled map whenever the G-Tag is in communication with your device, meaning that should you manage to lose something, you have its last known location saved.
Initially I made the mistake of downloading the app on my phone but then I realised it needed to near to the phone to continually update it’s location via Bluetooth. We then downloaded it onto my son’s phone so it will update the location and if he should ever lose his keys we’ll be able to track back to it’s last location.
This is going to be great once he’s back at school and is searching around the house for his key, we’l know how close to his phone his keys are so that we actually know where to look. It doesn’t matter how many times we tell him to put his keys in the drawer, he never does!
Do you think this is a good idea? Could you see it working for you?
The G-Tag is priced at £19.99 and available from Amazon
