Great Brits: Game on. How amazing have the Olympic Games in Rio been, and how amazing is Team GB? They've been incredible so far. We've been loving watching the Games together each evening, perched on the edge of the sofa to cheer our athletes along. Team GB have been winning medal after medal, and showing us they really are stars.

Team GB has even set two world records this year, with Phil Hindes, Jason Kenny and Callum Skinner setting an Olympic record in qualifying for the three-man, three-lap team sprint. Followed by Joanna Rowsell Shand, Laura Trott, Elinor Barker and Katie Archibald setting a world record in the four-rider, four-kilometres team pursuit.

Then how about Laura Trott as an inspiration of what can be achieved through hard work & dedication at such a young age. At only 24 she’s Britain’s most decorated female Olympian, she really is a role model for our children.

It’s so inspiring to see them compete, knowing the work & commitment that has gone into their performance. The is the first Olympics for some of our Team GB but the confidence still shines through. They are clearly there to win. I’m loving that more of the personalities are shining through this year, we’re getting to see some character, the way the teams interact & support each other. Plus the commentary is far less serious and much more fun bring a new angle to The Games.

Alongside this, DFS, the official homeware partner of Team GB for this summer’s Olympic Games, is showcasing the atmosphere and excitement of Rio, right from the heart of Team GB house.

Team GB in association with DFS are producing a major new content series from the heart of the Rio Olympics this summer. Great Brits: Game On is a daily video series designed to celebrate our brilliant athletes and show their human side. Which I love. Sometimes they can almost be seen as being superhuman, with so much pressure being put on them from the public. It’s great being able to relate to them and see them for the people they are behind the athleticism.

The new series, hosted by British presenters, Reggie Yates and Justin Moorhouse, will feature famous faces each day. They will be taking part in entertaining & fun challenges from toy archery to slip n’ slides and water balloon catch. It’ll be such a welcome break from the usual interviews and will really let the personalities of our stars shine through.

I’m really looking forward to Great Brits: Game On and catching up with the daily videos on the DFS YouTube channel. It’ll be a fun, festival atmosphere from the home of Team GB in the British House and I can’t wait to see what they get up to. There’s going to be some exclusive, unique slices of entertainment as the Star cut loose and have some fun. Plus you can join in with Flip It, the coaster or beer mat flipping game and send in your photos & videos, tagging them with #FlipIt

You can follow all the fun on YouTube, Twitter and Instagram using the hastags #GreatBrits #GameOn & #FlipIt

This is such a good idea! It will be nice to get to know the athletes a bit better outside of their sports!

If I’m honest, I haven’t watched a bit of the Olympics at all . normally I like to watch all the games but it’s not something I’ve done this year, I just keep getting all the gossip from twitter and Facebook. I’ve heard the British team are doing so amazing and I’m glad to hear it.
