I‘ve been wanting to start a YouTube channel in so long but I’ve just been too nervous and embarrassed, but then I thought to myself, you’re almost 35, pull yourself together and just do it.
So I did! I’ve finally started vlogging. Well it’s a review first but I will be filming vlogs too.
I’ve filmed my first review of the Joolz Day Quadro buggy. Actually I filmed it back in March, nearly six months ago when I wrote the original review but just didn’t feel confident enough to actually edit the footage & upload to YouTube.
Then last night I decided to just bite the bullet and do it. I spent a little time getting used to Windows Movie Maker, which isn’t actually as bad as I thought it would be. Edited a few clips together, created a little intro & end credit and added some music over the top as I’m still not the biggest fan of my own voice.
I can’t wait to get started on more videos, I’ve got another buggy review to film for Cosatto’s new Supa Go, then I want to start vlogging. I just need to practice a little more first as it still feels so strange seeing my own face & hearing my own voice. It really does feel so strange when you’re starting out. Will people watch? Will they like it? Will anyone even subscribe? I hope so.
So here’s my first video, don’t forget to pop over and subscribe to my channel 🙂
It’s not bad for a first attempt and I’ve already got a list of things to do differently next time. Do you vlog? Were you as terrified as me when you started?
As a viewer, do you prefer YouTube uploads on a certain day of the week so you know when to expect them, or just as & when?
