KENDAL CALLING | A WEEKEND WITHOUT THE KIDS

This weekend was absolutely AMAZING even if it was raining most of the weekend which turned the fields into a sea of mud! With having two kids, we don’t get out very often so when we decided to join our friends and book weekend tickets to Kendal Calling I knew we were going to have the best time.

Kendal call is such a fantastic festival, without sounding cheesy there’s such a great vibe about it. It’s completely family friendly with an area especially for kids (and big kids!) plus family camping, so the whole festival feels more easy going like there’s much more to it than just drinking and dancing. Normally I’m very good at the whole mud/dirt/unclean situation but at a festival you’re all in it together plus I’ve got admit that the loos stayed cleaner for longer than Creamfields a few years ago *don’t mistake cleaner for clean!*. Plus on the Saturday night it was ‘Beyond the Stars’ fancy dress and so many people dressed up. I’m going to be washing green face paint out of clothes for weeks.

Athlete were amazing, I was really looking forward to seeing them live as I was really into them around the time me & the hubby first met, plus we saw a few bands that were great that we’d never normally come across and partied well into the night in the Glow Tent, House Party and Luna 9. Unfortunately we had to miss the final night as we had to get back for the kids so was gutted we didn’t get to see Example but never mind, it was a fantastic weekend with some fantastic people. I loved every second even if it did take me three days to get over my hangover!

I did think about going to this festival to see Frank Turner but decided against it as I live on the South Coast. Looks like you had a fun time despite the mud 🙂 Check out my blog at http://wp.me/p4Fvr2-g6 when you have time

Haha that is my sister and her boyfriend in the mud. I don’t think she will have seen this one yet.
