Even though Archie doesn’t like sand he loves splashing in water so it was time to upgrade the garden toys , out went the toys he’d outgrown and in came the Little Tikes Sandy Lagoon Waterpark.
It was actually a lot bigger than I expected, normally the sand & water tables are pretty small but this was a really good size and really sturdy too, Archie even managed to climb onto it to have a little paddle the monkey! Plus it’s the perfect height for Archie to reach across and play with all the little extras. Before we’d even got any water out he was playing with it straight away.
It was really easy to set up, the four legs just clicked into place and there’s clear shaped holes for the extra parts such as the slides and corner accessories. I would have preferred a full lid as it only comes with a section to cover the sand but that’s not a major issues.
There was a slight issue with the plug, the hubby couldn’t get it to fit properly & water poured out everywhere. I had a look at it & realised it needed more than just pushing in the hole. There’s a lip around the plug, this needs to be pushed through the hole so that it forms a seal between the top & bottom parts of the plug and the water table. I’ve seen online that other people have had a ‘faulty’ plug and returned the water table but I think they just had the same issue as the hubby & just didn’t fit it right.
Archie loves all the little accessories that come with the Waterpark, especially the little people, he loves sending them down the slide into the water. He’s not one for sand and hates the beach so instead we used rice & lentils so he could still have the sensory element pouring & scooping with the sieve & spade. Even Billy The dog came to have a little nosy!
All in all this a fab addition to the garden, we’ve had hours of play with it and even brought it into the kitchen when the weather turned.
