SLIMMING WORLD FREE FOODS TO ADD TO YOUR SHOPPING LIST

I'm only in my first week and have done my first food shop so these are the Slimming World Free Foods to add to your shopping list to get you off to the right start.

I‘ve recently joined Slimming World and am just getting to grips with the plan, the terminology and the foods I should be eating. I love that it’s not a diet, it’s just changing the way you eat & cook. It makes you think about the foods you are putting in your body without calorie counting.

I’m only in my first week and have done my first food shop so these are the Slimming World Free Foods to add to your shopping list to get you off to the right start.

FRESH FOOD

Eggs – cooked anyway as long as there’s no fat or oil, Fry Light is your best friend
Fat Free yogurts – Although not brands are syn free, for me it’s syn free Muller Light, or the ALDI version is fab too.
Lot’s of veg
Lot’s of fruit
Cooked & fresh meat – make sure all the fat & skin is removed & no oil added. I’ve started buying ours from Muscle Food and freezing it myself, it’s all super lean and a great price to fill the freezer. Use my code to get a freebie with your order.

FROZEN FOOD

Frozen veg – I grab a bag of mixed veg & a separate bag of green beans
Quorn products – Obviously for the vegetarians but as it’s cook from frozen it’s great for a quick lunch if you’re at home during the day
Fish & seafood – salmon, prawns, seafood sticks etc are always on our shopping list

TINNED FOOD

Baked beans
Mushy peas
Tinned tomatoes
Tinned fish – tuna, salmon, pilchards, sardines etc but not in oil
Mixed beans

PANTRY STAPLES

Plain pasta (dried)
Plain rice
Plain cous cous
Plain noodles (dried)
Low calorie cooking spray – I love Fry Light
Sweetener
Herbs & spices
Sale, pepper & vinegar
Soy sauce
Tomato puree – one that doesn’t contain oil
Marmite
Stock pots or cubes
Dressings – fat free vinaigrette, French or Italian
Drinks – no added sugar cordial, diet cola etc

BRANDED PRODUCTS

Some branded products are also syn free so it’s worth having them in your kitchen cupboards. For me it’s:

Batchelors Pasta n Sauce – don’t forget that any milk used needs to come from your healthy extra or needs to be synned. The following flavours are syn free

  • Chicken & Mushroom
  • Tomato, onion & herb
  • Mediterranean

Hi-Fi Light bars – these are not strictly syn free, they are only free is used as your healthy extra b choice
