From looking at the box I knew this was going to be one big castle. It’s over four foot wide so lot’s of play space for the littlies, but two outer turrets do fold back into the palace to make it easier to store.
Once the box was opened (ripped open by Archie!) you could see it’s going to take some time to put together due to the amount of pieces (shown in my video below) but it actually only took me just over half an hour. The instructions are pretty clearly written but as they are in black & white it took a little while to figure out which piece was which.
Archie was so excited to see it all put together, his cousin is going to love this when we give it to her, and I think mum will be happy that we put it all together so she doesn’t have too!
I know it will get played with so much, Archie couldn’t wait to start exploring and see what the different parts do. It’s such an interactive toy, with lights, sounds and actions.
There are 5 ‘Magic Point’ locations within the Toot Toot Princess Palace where if you place the character on they will come to life and talk/sing as you play. Archie loved that the little Princess lit up too.
You can open the doors, play with the swing, use the lift & roundabout. It will be great for those fine motor skills and will keep their attention for ages as you can play both from the front and the back.
Take a look at the video below to see it all in action
Overall we were really impressed and I think Archie’s cousin will be super excited when he gives it to her to play with.
The Vtech Baby Toot-Toot Friends Enchanted Princess Palace Playset
retails at £49.99 and can be bought from most toy shops along with Amazon. I think it’s a great price for what you get. It’s a really substantial toy with lot’s to do. The little ones will love exploring it and the older ones will love role playing with their very own palace.
