Every year I decide I’m going to be organised and start budgeting for Christmas, buying presents early or start saving early but it never ends up going to plan.
This year I have been a little more organised and have started buying some presents but something usually crops up which means I have to dip into my Christmas savings account, or I can’t quite put as much away as I’d like so for 2016, yes next year, I’m starting getting organised early.
I’ve been looking at various options, the main one being Park Christmas Savings. I have heard some great things about Park, with some family and friends using them to save for this Christmas. It sounds like a much easier option, you can choose from lot’s of different options such as Love to Shop vouchers, or gift cards for specific shops. I’ve even decided to become a Rep which means I’ll earn commission when friends & family choose to save for Christmas through me with Park.
Another option is via catalogues or credit cards which if you are savvy and make your payments within the defined period then you won’t pay interest on your purchases either, you just have to make sure you don’t fall into the trap of making minimum payments and paying much more in interest. Visit approvedcatalogues for more information on interest rates on various catalogues.
Another option I always try to use is saving my rewards vouchers, such as my Tesco Clubcard or Morrisons vouchers. The Clubcard vouchers are great as you can even double them up at certain times of the year meaning you get twice as much for your money.
How do you budget for Christmas? Are you a planner & get organised early or are you a Christmas Eve shopper, dashing for everything last minute?
