With Father’s Day coming up fast, my thoughts are turning to gift buying. There are lots of ways to come up with present ideas. One of them is focusing on an upcoming event and buying something for that. Your family holiday is a great example.
Most men wear t-shirts while on holiday. So, you could buy one or two for Father’s Day. As you can see here bold prints are a big trend for 2019. They look fantastic, but there are also some nice plain ones available. This year, longer t-shirts are much easier to find.
If the man you are buying for is not keen on t-shirts, polo shirts are a good alternative. They never really go out of fashion and are very versatile, which makes them a particularly good option for a holiday.
While on holiday, most people spend more time than normal on their feet. So, it is important to wear good footwear. A nice new pair of boat shoes, sandals or trainers can be a really good gift. Buying them in advance gives you dad or husband the chance to wear them in a bit. That way, they will be comfortable and not give you blisters.
NEW SHORTS OR SWIMWEAR
A lot of men tend to put off buying new swimwear, so a pair of swimming trunks or shorts is another gift idea. This year, utility shorts are particularly, on trend. The fact that they have plenty of pockets makes them a practical, as well as a stylish, option for a holiday.
ACCESS TO THE AIRPORT HOSPITALITY LOUNGE
If you are flying, access to the airport hospitality lounge could make an ideal gift. Being able to get away from the craziness of a busy airport is a great way to switch off and begin to relax. You could buy just one pass, or pay to get the entire family into the lounge. If you do that, the whole family will get off the plane in a more relaxed state.
A PAIR OF THE LATEST MEN’S SUNGLASSES
Sunglasses are a holiday essential, without them, you run the risk of severely damaging your eyes. So, if your dad or husband does not own a good pair buy them some. They do not have to necessarily be designer sunglasses to do the job.
A POWER BANK
Men love their gadgets and enjoy using them more while they are on holiday, especially their smartphones. The only problem is that doing that can run the battery down quickly. Carrying a power bank is the best way to get past this issue. They also come in handy at home. A lot of people keep one in their car.
A SPECIAL HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE
Look for something that you know your husband or father would like to do while on holiday and book tickets for it in advance. Doing this gives them something special to look forward to.
MORE HOLIDAY GIFT RELATED IDEAS
Hopefully, some of the gift ideas above will appeal. If not, you can get more inspiration from this printable holiday packing list I came up with recently. Potentially, anything a dad would need to pack for a holiday can be given as a Father’s Day present.
