You know how there are some days where you are really frikkin awesome? Well yesterday was one of those days, just look at this beauty. I was so, so happy at how it turned out. I’ve got to admit I was so nervous to create my first naked wedding cake. There’s no hiding any mistakes or burnt bits! Every cake has to be the same, which sounds easy but it’s really not as when cakes cool they can shrink & change shape a little.
I’m still loving the vintage trend so was very happy to have a chance to create this beautiful wedding cake. It looked simply stunning in the vintage tearooms at the Roman Lakes in Marple, Stockport. The whole wedding venue was beautiful, from the flowers to the decor, it all made me want to get married again!
It’s all the little details that made this venue look amazing, from the Singer cake table to the homemade lemonade stand, the Hessian bunting to the huge Welsh Dresser. It was just stunning. Libbi from Flowers by Strawberry Fields did such an amazing job on the venue & the flowers for the beautiful cake created.
I absolutely love that this is my job and I get to create cakes for a living, running your own business is seriously hard work but so rewarding, especially when you see the smile on someone’s face when they see the cake you’ve made especially for them
I’m completely self taught, with a little help from YouTube and have had a few people ask me about putting tutorials up on the blog so I’m beginning to add How To’s & Hint’s & Tips, so if there’s anything in particular you want to know then just leave me a comment.
I’ve also started a new linky, #SundaySweets where I’ll be linking up all my cakes, bakes & sweet recipes so pop over and link up your posts too and share some sweet loving 😉
