So if you’re a regular reader you’ll now that I have actually been following Slimming World for a while. I actually joined at Christmas as an online member but just didn’t stick to it properly and my weight fluctuated. Some weeks I lost a little, some weeks I put it back on. It just wasn’t working for me so I decided the only thing to do was join a group rather than going it alone.
I‘ve got to admit I was pretty nervous about joining a Slimming World group, I’m not sure why. I guess it’s the fear of the unknown. Will they say my weight out loud? Will I have to be weighed in front of everyone? But it was actually really good. Everyone was super friendly & supportive, and no they didn’t announce my weight to the whole group, although they do say how much you’ve lost or gained to the group. Which is what I want really, I want to be held accountable as I clearly wasn’t very good at doing that myself!

I had a good week last week. We stuck to our meal plan and I ate a lot healthier during the day. As I work from home, the day time snacking is my downfall but I’m totally changing the way I eat and keeping track of what I eat.

Since my spinal op last year I’ve just not been able to exercise like I used to, which is partly why I gained some weight so I’ve been taking it easy exercise-wise in regards to the actual workout. I’ve just been walking on the treadmill rather than running but have been doing an hour to an hour & half three times a week which has obviously helped with this week’s weight loss too.

So did I lose weight?

Yes, 3 1/2 pounds!! I’m so happy with my first week and am ready for another week of eating well & exercising. I’m determined to shift these two stone that I’ve put on and get back to my happy, healthy weight.
