Our weekly slimming world meal plan, lot's of meal ideas and syn free meal options

Each week I’ve been writing our Slimming World meal plan and sharing them on the blog, I’m loving that we can have really varied meals, including cheese, rice & pasta and other things that are normally off the menu on typical ‘diets’
So last week wasn’t too bad food wise, with the exception of a trip to KFC on Sunday for Mother’s Day. I know it’s not exactly a posh meal out but Archie has Autism so going out to busy restaurants just wasn’t an option. Even though he has a lot of issues around food, he will always eat chips & popcorn chicken so that’s where we went and I really enjoyed it!

This week we are back on the wagon as next week we’re on our jollies! We’re going all inclusive so I’ll be choosing the best options I can but I’ll still probably let my hair down a bit and get back on track the week we get back.

Our Slimming World weekly meal plan including the Syns & syn free options


Breakfast has been pretty easy. I’ve been having a Muller light with fruit most days. I really didn’t think this would fill me up but if I’m still peckish I’ll just add more fruit to increase my Speed Foods.

On the mornings when I’m starving, or going to the gym I’ll have something a bit more substantial like scrambled eggs & spinach instead. I never used to really like the texture of spinach but shredding it first makes a difference for me.


This is the one I’ve struggled with. I’ve gotten into the habit of not bothering to cook just for myself, and as I work from home I’ll tend to just snack throughout the day. I’m making sure I have lot’s of lunch options that are super quick, plus lot’s of leftovers in the freezer ready to microwave.


I normally use my Healthy Extra A for my milk for my cups of teas so will include all the syns for the meals below

    • Chicken & salad wraps, I’ll skip the wrap though (8 1/2 Syns for the wrap, syn free without)
    • Oven baked meat balls (Syn Free)
    • Speedy chicken & vegetable rice (Syn Free)
    • Homemade burgers with SW chips (Syn Free without the bun)
    • Chicken stir fry (Syn Free)
    • Chicken chicken fakeaway curry using Mayflower Curry powder (5 Syns)
    • Sausage & Bean Stew using Muscle Food sausages (1/2 Syn per sausage)

    Ahh! Fancy meals are overrated for mother’s day….We have leftover pizza from Saturday night for tea. lol I loved it!! I am terrible for snacking during the day too. Oops.

    I had brunch at Wetherspoons for my mother’s day and it was perfect – when eating with kids, posh options can shove off!

    I love homemade burgers, and the sausage stew sounds lush too. I didn’t know Musclefood sausages were such low Syns!

    I’m going to show my ignorance here, can you please explain what “Syn” means? Just googled it but nothing explaining it other than it’s something to do with Slimmers World. 🙂
