A wedding without cake is just a meeting! I created this stunning naked wedding cake draped in fruit for a beautifully vintage themed wedding

I‘m blowing my own trumpet a little bit here with this week’s #MySundayPhoto but this cake is all kinds of beautiful nakedness.

My regular readers will know that I have my own cake business even though I’ve pretty much handed it over to my sister to manage as she’s got such a natural talent with cake decorating too. With Archie’s Autism my days were getting longer & harder. My boy needed me more than my business did, plus the little blogging sideline wasn’t so little anymore so I changed focus.

My family & my blog took priority over my cakes however I do still dip back into making & decorating cakes when something incredible comes along. I just couldn’t say no to my hubby’s cousin when she asked me to create her wedding cake. It looked absolutely stunning on the day & I’m so proud to have been a part of their big day.

What do you think? Are you loving the trend for a naked wedding cake or do you still like the more traditional white cake?

I love any kind of cake that catches my eye…and taste buds and that one has definitely caught my eye. You should SO do more of it, you’re very talented. If I’d had that at my wedding, I’d have cried many happy tears. Plus cake should rule the world!

Yum, My mum made a mini version of that cake for my brothers birthday, but I wish she would make one that size, Clio lending a helping hand for Coombe Mill

Fantastic that the talent runs in the family. My sister made a naked wedding cake for her own wedding. #MySundayPhoto

Love this picture – shows off the true baking skills – I know having had my MIL do mine that icing can be great at hiding the imperfections and this is just true skill. Well done. Love naked cakes!
