I am loving getting into the habit of taking photos for my ‘Weekday Wardrobe’. Well, more the fact that I’m thinking about my daily outfits more & pushing myself out of my usual mum uniform.
My style has changed so much over the past twelve months. I’ve gotten a more recognisable style I think. People have told me about clothing that is ‘totally me’ which is something that is completely new to me.
Here’s how I found the confidence to wear what I want to wear, I can’t believe it’s taken me nearly 40 years to get to this stage.
I really have managed to break the cycle of just throwing on jeans & a tee everyday. I know I have to take my Outfit Of The Day photo for my Insta Stories & my Weekday Wardrobe posts so I’m thinking about my outfits the night before. I used to do this everyday when I worked in an office but working from home meant I just threw something comfy on. Especially as now my boy has moved to a special needs school out of our area, he gets transport to school so I no longer do the school run.
So, onto the clothes. Here’s this week’s ‘Weekday Wardrobe’.
just a simple outfit but with a headscarf, my total go to when I do my hair. It took me years to build up the confidence to wear a headscarf, which sounds ridiculous I know, but I absolutely adore them now.
- Top (lightweight jumper with collar) from a local charity shop, I do love a bargain
- Frayed jeans from New Look
- Patent brogues from Simpy Be (gifted)
A nice bright, summery outfit. I do love me some stripes!
- T-shirt from Morgan
- Striped Culottes from a local charity shop
The whole outfit is from charity shops, you really can buy some gorgeous things for a great price. But not only that, you’re giving money back to charity, stopping clothes from going to landfill & creating less waste.
Again, pretty much a full charity shop outfit. I adore this skirt & have worn it again, a total bargain for about £4. The pumps are platform Converse, super comfy & adds a bit of height.
A bit of a theme this week as this was another full charity shop outfit. The crinkle trousers are everywhere right now so I was super happy to find a pair second hand & less than a fiver. This crochet top is cropped & goes with everything.
